The short version
This is a promotional site for a documentary. We keep data collection to a minimum: optional analytics (only if you accept), the details you choose to send us, and standard server records. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It is switched off until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics never loads.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. Google processes this on our behalf under Google’s privacy policy.
Your choice is saved in your own browser. You can change it any time with Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
Press credential requests
The form on the Media page asks for your name, email, outlet, role, optional phone and website, and what you plan to cover. It is sent through the form service Formspree to info@driveforfivefilm.com. We use it only to respond to your request.
Email updates
If you subscribe for updates, we collect your email address and the topics you choose. They are stored with our email service, Mailchimp, and used only to send news about the film. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at info@driveforfivefilm.com. Mailchimp’s handling of your data is described in its privacy statement.
Writing to us
If you write to info@driveforfivefilm.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send, and we use it to reply.
Video
The teaser is hosted on YouTube and loads in privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play. Once it loads, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Donations
This site does not process payments. Donations are handled by our fiscal sponsor, Film North, on their website, and their privacy practices apply there.
Server records
Like most websites, our web server keeps standard technical records (such as IP address, pages requested, and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
Young people
This film follows student athletes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Questions
Questions, or a request to see or delete information you sent us: info@driveforfivefilm.com. We may update this page as the site changes; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
